Reventazon River Rafting

Overview
Join us for our one-day Reventazon River Rafting adventure on one of Costa Rica’s most iconic rivers – perfect for beginners and families (low/medium difficulty). The Reventazon was the first river used for commercial rafting trips in Costa Rica. It is now dam-controlled, with most of the country’s hydroelectric energy produced here, but there is always plenty of water for rafting.
After picking you up in San Jose, we will drive through the incredibly scenic Braulio Carrillo National Park, which connects Costa Rica’s Central Valley with the Caribbean lowlands. Its towering mountains are home to abundant wildlife and the origin of many rivers.
We will stop for breakfast (included) on the other side of Braulio Carrillo. Then we’ll head to the Reventazon River put-in. At the river, your guides will outfit you with rafting equipment and give a paddling explanation and safety talk.
We’ll raft the 10-mile Florida section, a fun ride through class 2 and 3 rapids. As you pass through the Reventazon Valley, look for toucans, kingfishers, herons, iguanas, and emerald basilisks along the way. After finishing rafting, you’ll be able to change into dry clothes before driving back to San Jose.
Our Reventazon River Rafting tour includes breakfast, picnic lunch, 2 to 3 hours of rafting, professional river guides and a safety kayaker, rafting equipment, and transportation from and to San Jose.
